      Fox Point Farm, Charlotte Cannon and Tommy Robinson offer monthly training to horses and riders who are looking for a more intensive immersion into Natural Horsemanship for everything from backyard enjoyment, trailriding, foxhunting, field trials, driving and the  showing to the highest levels. We offer a complete program from Colt Starting to Show horse Finishing. We can pick you and your horse up wherever you are and progress you as far as you have the desire and dedication to go. We have taken many horses from weanlings successfully through the world show level, we can do it for you too! We also offer an exceptional older horse Rehabilitation Program with many success stories with horses owners thought were beyond help. Whether you have a sweet baby or a savage beast; we will give you our best and see you through with honesty and excellent horsemanship!

Confidence building is what we are all about with both the young and older horses. It is truly amazing at what your horse will offer given more confidence. Love, Language and Leadership is the basis of this program. We address your horse where he is to bring him forward to reach new goals. Some horses come in and need more support and varied exercises to build their self esteem - we use more Love and Language on them. Some horses come in and are used to calling all the shots - we use more Leadership and Language on them to redirect their dominant behavior into positive brave behavior. We have found incredible jewels inside many horses that were deemed  crazy, stubborn, reactive, explosive, hyper, spooky, mean ...... Many (most) horses just need a more personal approach tailored to them. 

Charlotte and Tommy take a limited number of horses and ponies in for full-time training so they can truly focus on each one as an individual project. Each horse can benefit from more time and effort than they would normally receive in a more traditional horsetrainer's program. Full-time training horses progress quickly and owners find themselves working hard to keep up with their horse's progress. 

Another option is for horses and riders/owners to come in on a Per Ride basis. Most owners who wish to show and ride their horses themselves have found this to be a fun and rewarding program. Many of our clients come in for the weekend and spend two or three days with Charlotte or Tommy before returning home to practice and fine-tune their skills. By taking advantage of our intensive teaching and by building a more personal relationship with your horse at home, you will feel empowered to step out and try more challenging shows and activities than ever before. You will break out of the 'jail cell' of normal horsetraining programs which require your horse to be 'at the trainers' to have any hope of success. You will be able to go places and do things with confidence, not needing a 'trainer' to hold your hand at every turn.

Growing up in Virginia horse country Charlotte's roots are in hunters, jumpers, foxhunters and TB racehorses. Since moving to South Carolina in 1989 her mind and expertise has expanded greatly to include many more breeds and many more disciplines/events making her a unique all-around horseman. Her diversity will benefit you and your horse because she will be able to give you honest and intelligent recommendations for reasonable and attainable goals. If you and your horse would be better suited to a different event than the one you have chosen, Charlotte can make that recommendation. Of course the client always has the final decision and unlike some of her colleagues, Charlotte will honor your decision.

As far as results, she has too many to list. But her ability and winning record with hunters/jumpers of all breeds is exceptional. Since her focus onto APHA showing began in 1999, Charlotte has brought in, coached,  trained and shown many winning youth, amateur and open horses. Her students have amazed more great wins themselves including APHA Championships, Versatility, numerous National, Zone and State Titles. Charlotte coaches her clients to the biggest wins with pure, natural techniques and exceptional mental fitness and preparedness. She feels riders must learn to ride themselves, her training and riding is only half of the equation. She is a trainer of trainers.

Tommy grew up in the NC mountains riding all through the trails with his Dad. At 10 yrs old he started competing in local open shows in ALL the events from western pleasure to barrels and poles. His serious showing started when he went to college at NC State. From there he got jobs working for both Carol Harris (caring for Superhorse Rugged Lark) and Thompson Quarter Horses. He started his super successful showing and coaching career with AQHA Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle horses. He got interested in the Trail and that was another match made in Heaven! Tommy has made more Superior Trail and World Champion horses than any other trainer in the area, one of the winniest in the country. In 2008 he stretched again and added Hunter Hack to his list of events, in his first Senior Hunter Hack World Show appearance, he was in the Top Ten. Tommy is a quiet focused results-getting trainer exceptional at developing the young (2 and 3 year olds) horses for futurities while respecting their bodies and minds. His babies grow into the all-around horses on which we win fancy neck ribbons, buckles and saddles! Be his next Super Star!

Just since 2001, we have had a total of 57 Top Tens including 3 World Championships, 1 Reserve World Championship, 4 World Show Sweepstakes Champions and 1 World Show Sweepstakes Reserve Champion to their credit. Charlotte and Tommy have shown horses to APHA Finalist and Top Ten honors in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Pleasure Driving, Utility Driving, Hunter Hack, Working Hunter, Reining and Working Cowhorse. They also have APHA Honor Roll Awards in Western Riding. They have put Superiors and Registers of Merit on horses in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. And they continue to bring along students from complete beginners to advanced riders at the local open and hunter shows up into national  APHA shows.

You will not find more well-rounded winning trainers for you or your horse anywhere!

Charlotte and Tommy want you to receive the most benefit possible while your horse is in-training here. Lessons at the volume discount are available to owners/riders of training horses but are not included in the training price. There is no charge when you come to work with your horse without concentrated instruction. Giving every horse and client a superior service and making fees affordable and understandable is very important to us. We strive to have long-term relationships with all our clients and friends.

* Basic Rates are for mares, geldings and polite stallions. If your horse is extremely difficult, it may be a bit more. Talk to Charlotte or Tommy about what you feel will be required and we will do things as affordably as possible.

** If your horse requires more expensive equipment or needs to be hauled to complete his training, his monthly training may be a bit more expensive. But we do charge a flat fee for these horses so you won't be hit with loads of 'extra' charges. Driving, Field Trial and Foxhunting horses are among this group. Please ask and we will set up an affordable program for your needs as well.
